When a child has troubles making friends and integrating into the community, it is crucial that we support him or her at every step of the way. Sensitization therapy aims to promote the initiation and deepening of this process by tending to the child with careful attention, professional expertise, and hands-on knowledge. RehaKids Family Daycare allows us to support the proper socialization of the child in a neurotypical environment with the help of a specialist. The sessions are headed by the developmental pediatricians of KapCsoda and RehaKids, whose main area of expertise is the social and communicational development of children with autism spectrum disorder. During the various situational exercises, the therapist gives a detailed explanation of different situations that at first can be difficult to understand, teaches the child about personal and social boundaries, identifies opportunities for growth, and ensures the strengthening of the child’s self-confidence and the creation and maintenance of their well-being through his or her presence.
